Much has been written and serialised about the role that both social and traditional media played in influencing people’s choices during the 2016 US election. With our own election taking place later this year, we ask what the role and responsibility of the media is in an election year? Will social media be a factor? Should the media, for example, take a position on a specific party or leader?
