WITH Kobus Grobler FACILITATOR Daniel Hugo
It's the year 1973. Jaco, a teenage boy, feels trapped in the small-town environment in which he grows up. From the roof of their house, he sees their maid Maria's elokashini on the outskirts of town, the place his father has forbidden him to go to. He struggles to talk to this rough man, the hero he so desperately needs, and to understand his intolerance towards him, his mother and Maria's people. He struggles with his brother calling him a sissy. Gradually he begins to understand that things are not always black or white.
