Gestroop: Niël Rademan

WITH Niël Rademan PRODUCER Niël Rademan Produksies

Niël Rademan sings Afrikaans folk music and ballads. He interweaves it with European songs and melodies for which he is known. It’s Afrikaans with an international cabaret club sound like you’ve never heard before. With piano, accordion and harmonica. Rademan debuted 20 years ago with reinterpretations of songs such as “Sawends” by Jan Pohl and also the evergreen “Boereseun” by Danie Bosman. This year he returns to his roots and adds a series of new songs, translations, as well as music from his own pen. Gestroop is fresh and exciting. Let the beat of swing, the tango, the samba and even settees carry you away. He sings, tells stories of his journeys and accompanies himself on piano and accordion – just like years ago.
