Marvin returns to his hometown, Schauderville, where he can spend one day with his old race walking coach, Uncle Smithie. He hasn’t been “innie Shôde”, where his younger brother, Malcolm is still caught up in the evils of the community, for years. Marvin and Uncle Smithie remember the good old days of SA championships and how a sport like race walking opened doors for him. But with each opportunity there were many sacrifices... While Marvin lives out his dreams in the entertainment industry after his athletic career, he is haunted by the past, as well as his brother’s decline. What happens when two estranged brothers meet again and the scars of a broken home lead to dire consequences? This semi-autobiographical sport drama asks how one can free oneself from the clutches of one’s past while on the cusp of success.
