Johannes Kerkorrel 22 years later. Never forgotten. Amanda Strydom writes a letter to, and pays tribute to her friend Ralph Rabie. Experience his famous songs in a new light – the other side of an icon we lost too soon. Pianist Coenraad Rall and guitar maestro Frank Freeman, together with Strydom, paint a musical landscape for this touching production. Amanda and Ralph, better known as Johannes Kerkorrel, were friends for 23 years. In a personal letter, Strydom writes to Rabie and commemorates the 22nd year of his death. Hoe ons voel was nominated for the Woordtrofee for best solo or duo music performance at the Toyota US Woordfees in 2023. Strydom was commissioned by the Stellenbosch University Musiekindaba to write this production.
