Sterna van Vuuren worked overseas for a long time. Meanwhile, her niece, the young science student Bernadette van Vuuren, lives in her townhouse, free of charge. Sterna van Vuuren shows up unexpectedly and the aunt and niece relationship proves to be explosive. There is a twist in the tale, or is it a fungi in a bottle..? Because now, her comic mime artist boyfriend, Flippie van Vuuren, also lives there. Bernadette and Flippie have turned Sterna’s townhouse into a rather peculiar space, because these two have strange dreams of the future. This rare dark comedy is a cheerful and often laser-sharp story of different generations’ points of view, mistakes and ambitions. It’s cleverly funny, original and surprising.
