Incarnations of Sand

Run supported by the Johann Brink Trust. Originally developed for the Première Theatre Festival. Made possible by the KKNK, ATKV and NATi.

WITH Alet Bruyns and Zara van der Westhuizen SCRIPT AND DIRECTOR Dhania Kara Schultz STAGE MANAGER Wilri van der Merwe PRODUCERS KKNK and NATi

In a world where there are only two, and one day becomes the next like shifting dunes, time means nothing. The sand trickles through the hourglass, and yet it seems to always turn on the final grain. Never full. Never empty. Filling the moments with something. Tick, tick, tick, tick. Suddenly, a change. A bomb. Forced to confront their mortality. What can one do in the crosshairs of devastation? Die? Or dream? An absurd theatre experience which explores mortality, connection and above all, what it means to be human.
