Following the success of Karoo Kaarte’s theatre productions Droomkraan Kronieke (2023) and Op Hierie Dag (2022) the theatre team are leaving traditional festival stages in favour of a site-specific performance centred around the fabled and now defunct Oudtshoorn railway. After research focussed on the history of Oudtshoorn trains, as well as the many memories and characters surrounding it, the team have spun these narratives into a surreal and poetic sunset walking tour, where audiences take a journey down train tracks in Oudtshoorn at twilight, encountering a range of surprise performances along the way. Wear walking shoes and bring a jacket.
