In line with Elemente, the Loop Speel zines and the children’s storybook Spekskiet en tande tel, Karoo Kaarte produces its first graphic novel based on a selection of stories and texts from their first theatre production, Op hierie dag. In 2024, the team launches the graphic novel illustrating Domino Gents, a trio of hilarious local characters written and created by Tiffany Saterdaght, Theo Witbooi, Janion Kennedy and Danny B. Three elderly gentlemen meet for their daily domino appointment under a pepper tree in Silvertown. With funny sayings, songs and anecdotes, these wordsmiths reflect on the interesting people, moments, and places from their hometown, Oudtshoorn.
